Summary: The article features a picture of Poland’s electrical power engineering sector in 2019.  It was concluded that electrical power engineering is now under the pressure of EU climate and energy framework which brings higher prices of carbon dioxide emission allowances and stricter requirements in environmental standards. The article presents the share of the electrical power engineering sector in global investment markets; financial results of this sector; cost of electrical energy sold by energy producers and distributors;  cost of electrical energy production from hard coal and lignite; cost of electrical energy sold to hard coal and lignite producers.
