Summary: This article presents the course and consequences of the "Intelligenzaktion" carried out by the German Gestapo in July 1941 in Lviv, Krzemieniec, and Stanisławów. It was part of a larger operation aimed at exterminating the Polish intelligentsia. The article shows the enormous losses inflicted on Polish science in the Wuleckie Hills in Lviv. Among those executed were eight distinguished professors of the Lviv Polytechnic, including the electrical metrologist, Professor Włodzimierz Krukowski, Ph.D.
