Summary: 99 years of the Coal District Division of the SEP is summarized in the paper. Activities of the Electrotechnical Department in Sosnowiec which was a precursor of the societies activities before the first General Assembly of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers in 1919. Some facts from the OZW SEP history which still inspired the current activities of the Division are shown.
