Summary: In this article, a test installation of glasshouse management system has been presented. A PLC controller has been chosen as a control unit, which manages the processes of watering, sprinkling, ventilation and the transparency of glass with a PDLC film. The system has been enhanced with additional features - remote start power generator, which is an additional power supply. The watering source has also been diversified. Stormwater tank has gained a priority status. After its depletion, the controller switches to municipal water. Sunlight level adjustments are available thanks to the PDLC film. It’s aim is to enable the control of the amount of sunlight falling through the glasshouse. This is why it is possible to control the process of plant development. It also eliminates the traditional shading system, based on shutters and blinds.
