Summary: Today, the power industry in Poland 2021 is set today primarily by challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The article discusses the challenges facing the power sector in the near future. The analysis was supported by economic results. Attention was paid to the changing volume of electricity production and the growing demand for it. The CO2 emissions were compared with regard to the fuel used and the PEP2040 project was referred to.
