Summary: The article presents synthetic information on the energy mix in the area of electricity generation for 20 European and 12 non-European countries. New directions for the development of the energy mix of the future were discussed in the face of the challenges of decarbonization and the return to the development of nuclear energy in the context of its cooperation with renewable sources supported by energy storage.
